A partir de esto pongo a la vista el equivalente de mi peso, la representación de la estructura que me sostiene, dejando en evidencia nuestra propia mortalidad.Tomo la tierra blanca; propia del contexto salvadoreño, pues esta es resultado de las múltiples erupciones volcánicas y que es lo que forma la mayor parte de nuestro suelo y nuestra historia; aludiendo así a la creencia que dice “pues polvo eres, y al polvo volverás”.
The human skeleton is equivalent to approximately 12% of total body weight. From this I put it the equivalent of my weight, the representation of the structure that holds me, revealing our own mortality. I take the white ground; proper of the Salvadoran territory, the result of multiple volcanic eruptions and which is what makes up most of our land and our history, alluding to the belief that says “for dust you are and to dust
you shall return.”
